Cookie policy
Last updated: 18 October 2026
We keep cookies to a minimum. Zovama does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics. This page lists what we store in your browser and why.
1. Our website (zovama.com)
Our website does not set cookies. It stores one setting in your browser's local storage:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| zv:lang | Local storage | Remembers your language choice | Until you clear it |
2. The Zovama panel (for our customers)
When you sign in to the panel, we use these strictly necessary items:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| lc.session_token and related lc.* cookies | Cookie | Keeps you signed in securely | Up to 7 days |
| lc:lang, lc:site:*, lc:notifications:*, lc:announcements:* | Local storage | Remembers language, selected website, notifications and dismissed announcements | Until you clear them |
On the billing page, our payment providers Stripe and PayPal may set their own cookies to process payments securely and prevent fraud. Their cookie policies apply to those cookies.
3. The chat widget on our customers' websites
The Zovama chat widget does not set cookies. It stores the following in the visitor's browser so the conversation continues across pages and visits:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| lc_anon_* | Local storage | Anonymous visitor ID to keep your conversation | Until cleared |
| lc_proactive_* | Local storage | Remembers which automatic messages were already shown, so you don't see them again | Until cleared |
The website owner decides whether to use the widget and how to inform its visitors. Please see that website's own privacy and cookie notices.
4. Why there is no cookie banner on our website
We only use items that are strictly necessary for the site or the Service to work, or that remember a choice you made. These do not require consent under UK and EU rules. If we ever add analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
5. How to control them
You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time. If you clear the panel cookies, you will be signed out. If you clear the widget's storage, a website's chat will start a new conversation.
